Moomoo Spreads and Trading Costs in Malaysia
Moomoo Malaysia has no forex spreads. Here is what a share trade really costs.
Open Moomoo Account →Moomoo Malaysia quotes no forex or CFD spread. On a share trade the spread is the exchange bid-ask gap, and the broker charge on top is commission, RM0 or US$0 for 180 days for new users.
What a spread means at a share broker
- Moomoo Malaysia quotes shares, ETFs, REITs, options and futures. It does not quote forex pairs or CFDs, so figures like 0.0 pips on EUR/USD do not exist here.
- The spread you pay is the bid-ask gap in the exchange order book, not a mark-up added by the broker.
- Liquid Bursa Malaysia and US large caps usually show a narrow bid-ask gap; thinly traded counters show a wider one.
- Commission is RM0 on Bursa Malaysia shares and US$0 on US shares for 180 days for new users; full T&Cs and other fees apply.
- Moomoo publishes free real-time quotes, including level 2 data with up to 60 levels of US bids and asks, so you can see the spread before you send an order.
What actually sits between the buy and the sell price
| Cost | Who sets it |
|---|---|
| Bid-ask spread | The exchange order book, not Moomoo |
| Commission | Moomoo: RM0 / US$0 for 180 days for new users, then its fee schedule |
| Clearing fee and stamp duty | Bursa Malaysia and Malaysian law, on Bursa trades |
| Dealer or forex spread | Not applicable: Moomoo Malaysia offers no forex or CFDs |
On Bursa Malaysia the visible cost of a trade is the gap between the best bid and the best ask in the order book, and it widens on thinly traded counters far more than on index constituents. Moomoo does not add a dealer mark-up on top of that gap, but the Bursa clearing fee and Malaysian stamp duty still apply to every buy and every sell.
